Flood and Coast Show March 20th - 22nd Telford.

Bluesky

Are you attending the EA Flood and Coast conference from the 20th – 22nd March 2018, Telford?

Then don’t miss the Bluesky presentation by Rob Carling, Senior Business Development Manager entitled “Acorns To Oak trees – Can Mapping Our Trees Help Manage Flood Risk?” at Seminar Live – Technology & Innovation Presentations on 21st March at 14.45. Rob’s talk will focus on the hundreds of millions of trees in the UK which until now, have been in general very poorly mapped, particularly in urban areas.

Currently the mapping and managing of these valuable assets is carried out in an ad-hoc fashion often involving costly fieldwork, or using ‘broad brush’ techniques which rely on data inputs from non-specialists. To help solve this problem, Bluesky has created a National Tree Map (NTM™), the most detailed dataset of its kind ever produced. With coverage across the whole of England and Wales, NTM™ provides a unique, comprehensive database of location, height and canopy/crown extents for trees 3m and above in height.

Visit the Bluesky team on stand E10 and find out more about NTM™ and our other products and services including LiDAR and aerial photography. We look forward to seeing you!
